that combines three tourbillons in a single piece

Finally, of course, we end with the holy grail of watchmaking, Patek Phillipe. Year after year the brand has earned the title of the most prestigious watchmaking. Their tradition, history, attention to every detail continues to surpass all expectations and earns them admiration by collecto

The AFP TTR is a masterpiece of engineering that combines three tourbillons in a single piece. This is a skill that only very few can achieve. Antoine has managed to integrate all the parts perfectly thanks to his creativity and ingenuity. In addition to several years of development and patents, he has managed to create the smallest known bearing with a diameter of 1.6mm. This work was made possible thanks to the help of his son, Florian. It is worth noting that the decoration, which looks like three gems, is made of no other thing than meteorite stones.
10. Christophe Claret MTR.TRD 450.000€
Christophe Claret worked for many years in the shadows for other brands until he decided to start his own brand. His leitmotiv is “in the art of watchmaking, where everything has been done, there is still everything to be invented”. A master of time who respects tradition, but who has never ceased to surprise his clientele with unimaginable timepieces. It is a difficult task to choose just one collection of this genius, be it Angelico, Maestro, X-trem and others. Christophe never ceases to amaze the industry with each of his creations.

In this case, we have highlighted the Soprano MTR.TRD. A chiming tag heuer replica that incorporates the Westminster sound that refers to the sound of the bells of the Palace of Westminster, commonly known as Big Ben. It obviously incorporates a Tourbillon but, with the specialty of the parachute shock absorber. One of the finest chiming pieces on the market featuring four patented gongs.
11. A. Langhe Sohne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater 449.000€
The most prestigious watchmaking house in history never ceases to amaze us with its technical and stylistic ability in each of its collections. It rose from the ashes after the fall of the Berlin Wall and since then it has not stopped progressing until it has positioned itself at the head of fine watchmaking alongside other great brands with greater longevity such as Patek Phillipe, Breguet, Vacheron Constantin or Audemars Piguet. It is true that their production is around five thousand pieces a year, but that helps it to not let any detail slip through the cracks.

Introduced in 2015, the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater is one of the watchmaker’s jewels. Starting with the materials, titanium for the case, silver dial, black rhodium-plated silver time-bridge and rhodium-plated gold hands. The simplicity with which the digital time is displayed, a trademark of the house, together with the beauty of the seconds subdial at six o’clock, makes it an unrivalled and authentic model. The best feature is undoubtedly the chime, the bells on the sides which embrace the seconds hand, producing a clear and impeccable sound.
12. Bovet Récital 22 Grand Récital 500.000€
Bovet stands out for having a limited production of its pieces due to the long process of craftsmanship involved in each of them. In its beginnings, it stood out for its pocket watches for the Chinese market that incorporate iconography of the time. A practice in which they have persisted, bringing their expertise to the present day.

This piece is one of the brand’s masterpieces, apart from being produced in two versions, one in titanium and the other in pink gold, and a mechanism that cannot be without the Tourbillon. Only 60 pieces exist worldwide. Its characteristic skeletonized dial is accompanied by two subdials on either side led by a world dial seen from the northern hemisphere.

The Grand Récital is an astronomical watch which in this case indicates the position of the moon in relation to the earth, in which the Tourbillon refers to the position of the sun in relation to the earth. The painting, applied by hand, allows us to see the earth even in the dark. This watch is a true work of craftsmanship.
13. Jacob Co. Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti 600.000€
The Manhattan, New York-based company produces its Haute Horlogerie entirely in Switzerland. Sometimes criticized for its loud and flashy styles, the truth is that Jacob Co. never cease to surprise everyone. The businessman is one of the most successful entrepreneurs of recent years and that is because his marketing strategies have worked. Sportsmen such as Floyd Mayweather or Connor McGregor are some of his most famous clients who show off Jacob’s pieces on their social networks.

The Twin Turbo is a piece with a totally innovative design but respectful of watchmaking tradition. The watch was designed exclusively to celebrate Bugatti breaking speed records. It includes nothing more and nothing less than two Giro-Tourbillons in the lower part of the case, in the head of the case it has the time with the seconds, a chronograph and in the back, we can see the chime of the piece.
14. Roger Dubuis Excalibur Diabolus in Machina 611.000€
We continue with another master watchmaker, Roger Dubuis. The master began working for the legendary Longines brand in the 1950s and later developed complications for Patek Phillipe. With all this knowledge acquired over the years and together with Carlos Dias (designer for Franck Muller), they set about founding their own watchmaking house and in 1999 they launched the first collections with homemade models.

The Diabolus in Machina is a unique creation. With a minute repeater inspired by the tonalities of rock music, they succeeded in innovating by reinterpreting a watchmaking tradition. In addition, this minute repeater is coupled with a flying tourbillon, something that is not so common in haute horlogerie. On the back of the calibre we can once again appreciate two micro-rotors that achieve a power reserve of no less than 60 hours.
15. Vacheron Constantine Traditionnelle Grandes Complicaciones 600.000€
At last, we come across the first of the brands that make up the trinity of Haute Horlogerie, Vacheron Constantin. Unfortunately, it is the only one of the three to be owned by a large holding company such as Richemont. Nevertheless, the Vacheron has been alive and well since 1775 and that is to be admired.

This model, as its name suggests, is a model of the most traditional Haute Horlogerie. The simplicity of its lines and the ease with which it displays the Tourbillon mechanism crowned by the brand’s logo and the second hand is magnificent. This mens replica watches is impeccable, the only downside is that it is not water-resistant but for the select group of customers who get one of these I doubt it will be a problem.
16. Breguet Classique Double Tourbillon 650.000€
Now is time to praise the inventor of the Tourbillon, Abraham Louis Breguet. The watchmaker who settled in France in the 18th century did not invent it as such, but he did bring great advances to the idea that preceded him and patented it. No one doubts the great work he did and among all his contributions to the watchmaking industry, but above all, he will be remembered for the Tourbillon.

This model is a tribute to what was Breguet’s shop for years in the Rue des Horloges in Paris. We can see on the back a handmade engraving of the shop of which we cannot lose any detail. In this case, the double tourbillon has a more contemporary style than the rest of the collection but without losing the essence that Breguet left behind. It is worth seeing this watch in motion where the hour hand is attached to one of the tourbillons and the tourbillon travels with it all the way.

The brand’s motto is “the art of invention”, and they have achieved this by creating the first quadruple Tourbillon. Stephan and Robert have taken the art of watchmaking to the extreme with this model.

It is probably not the most beautiful model for most people but it has been a challenge to prove that they are capable of introducing this great complication on a wrist. We must not forget that it includes a GMT complication, but not just any GMT complication. By means of an hour hand and a minute hand, it indicates the second time zone on a rotating globe that turns once every 24 hours.

18. Audemars Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication 800.000€
We come to the second model of the Trinity to appear on the list. Audemars Piguet is one of the most coveted brands among the wealthiest collectors. Its fame seems to rest solely on the Royal Oak designed by Gerald Genta, but the brand is also renowned for its grand complications.

The materials are not the usual ones for a watch of these characteristics, it is made of ceramic, titanium and the strap is made of rubber. Something that would have been unbelievable a while ago for a watch in this price range. However, the important thing is on the inside, which does not disappoint. It has a minute repeater, split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar.
The Swiss brand that this 2021 has become an official partner of Scuderia Ferrari is one of the brands that has surpassed the Haute Horlogerie market by offering its customers the cheapest model from 180,000€. Every year it grows more and more and it is not for less after all the collaborations it has done with sportsmen like Rafael Nadal. It is characterized by making super resistant watches, with materials never used before and also ultra-light.

This model is another example of how far Richard Mille can go to produce its pieces. The collaboration with Airbus and its inspiration in the windows of airplanes could never be more accurate since materials that protect the fuselage of the aircraft have been used in this watch. The respective tourbillon with split-seconds chronograph could not be missing.

The watchmaker of watchmakers has surprised us once again with the Reverso Hybris Mechanica. One of the company’s great specialties is the production of highly complicated calibers for other brands, but this time it seems to have reserved everything necessary to dazzle the world with this absolute masterpiece of Haute Horlogerie.

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, it has left no stone unturned and after six years of development has come up with the world’s first wristwatch with four display dials, all of which are functional. It brings together a total of 11 complications, including a minute repeater, perpetual calendar and indications of the synodic, draconic and anomalous cycles. Jaeger-LeCoultre filed as many as 12 patents for this Reverso. A true milestone in the history of watchmaking.

This is the most complex watch produced by the brand and no wonder, as it features 20 complications such as a dual time zone with a day/night indicator for the second of these. A perpetual calendar with day, date, month and leap year cycle. And something out of the ordinary, a four-digit year indicator. A combination of the finest watchmaking without neglecting the beauty of the timepiece.
